Anatomy Avant Garde is a new mutli-disciplinary performance. A participant lays on a cushion, with an electronic stethoscope amplifying their heart. Musicians improvise to the heartbeat. A plexiglass panel is suspended above the participant and painted live. The performance format is deeply inspired by the cardiology research of drummer and polymath Milford Graves. The musicians are exploring the relationship of sound and biology, hearing the subtle effects that different rhythms have on the human heart.

Participants get to be the heartbeat - you will lay on the cushion with the stethoscope. This is a truly unique and powerful experience. A single "session" lasts 20-25 minutes. If you purchase a participant ticket, on the form please indicate your preferred time for your session. Time slots are every half hour

We are raising money to pay the artists! $20 to attend the event. $50+ to participate. Please be generous if you can!
